I am a Career Coach and Coaching Psychologist based in the Mornington Peninsula and Melbourne. With nearly 20 years of experience as a psychologist, I am here to help you find a career that is an authentic reflection of your strengths, values and unique contribution to the world. My Career Coaching Melbourne approach is supportive and exploratory, and I am a big believer in collaboration – with you being the expert on yourself. I employ various coaching evidence-based strategies and career coaching tools, to help facilitate self-awareness and positive change for yourself and career.

What is Career Coaching Melbourne?

Career Coaching comes in many different shapes and forms. I view career coaching as being a collaborative experience between you and me. My career coaching Melbourne process is grounded in scientifically validated practices that incorporate theories and evidence-based strategies. These will help you to identify your career strengths, as well as enhancing your self-awareness and building self-confidence.

Our work together is positive, and focuses both on the present (where you are now) and the future (where you want to be), to help you make a career choice that is meaningful and fulfilling to you.

You know yourself best. My role is to meet you wherever you are in the process, and to help illuminate aspects of yourself, so you can better understand which study and career moves feel right for you. Contact Here for Melbourne Career Coaching.

Who is a Career Coach for?

People looking for career advice and career coaching are from all walks of life. They are business people, creatives, entrepreneurs, parents and students. Yet they all share something in common: they want to develop, thrive and make positive changes to their work lives and a Career Coach Melbourne can help you achieve that.

Perhaps you are:

  • An experienced professional seeking more meaningful work.

  • A mother returning to work after parental leave.

  • Considering or have made a sea/tree change, and don’t wish to commute to the city for work.

  • Wanting to upskill, e.g. learning how to nail a job interview, or how to have the best chance at applying for a new role in your current workplace.

  • Wanting to start your own business for more work-life balance.

  • Have been recently made redundant or have lost work, and are looking for a new career pathway.

  • A high school (year 10-12) student needing help on how to choose a career.

  • A graduate looking for career advice and guidance.

  • A mature age individual wanting to do further study, and in need of help to choose the right course for your employment.

What does a Career Coach do?

There are many types of Career Coaches and career counsellors out there. Given my background in psychology, I work from both a psychological and coaching perspective. I help you focus on achieving your career goals in the future, but I also understand the emotional issues that can arise during the process. Career coaching Melbourne with me will typically involve:

  • Assessments to identify strengths, values and job preferences.

  • Suggestions based on these assessments.

  • Brainstorming career ideas and finding the best career for you uniquely.

  • Overcoming barriers to success in your career.

  • Supporting you throughout the career change process.

  • Career Coaching and guidance for job interviews.

What can a Career Coach help me achieve?

My Career Coaching Melbourne is not a one size fits all. I am here to work with you based on your unique needs and offer a tailored approach. I can help you:

  • Develop understanding, knowledge and clarity about your strengths, values, interests, and career preferences.

  • Feel more connected to yourself and what you genuinely want to spend your time doing.

  • Feel more confident in yourself.

  • Feel more freedom to choose a career based on what you really want, not just on what you think you should.

  • Reconnect with your passions.

  • Develop authentic relationships.

  • Improve your experience in your current workplace.

  • Be better prepared for job searching, interview taking, and CV writing and LinkedIn writing.

Do I need a Career Coach?

If you have been asking yourself any of the following questions, then career coaching Melbourne is for you.

  • Am I content with my career?

  • Could I be doing something else?

  • How can I connect with my passions more in my work?

  • How can I contribute to the world in a more meaningful way?

  • What other skills do I need to land the perfect job for me?

How are you different from other Career Coaches?

As a career coaching Melbourne psychologist, I am not a regular career coach with a business or HR background. I am a psychologist with 20 years of study and training in the science of the mind and behaviour.

It is not all about action, although this is ultimately the end goal. I balance both your emotional and practical needs by helping you really understand what motivates you, the factors that might get in the way of your goals, and your unique strengths and values. This will give you more awareness to consciously make choices that feel great for you.

I only work with evidence-based therapies, and I hold the space for you to reflect and discover yourself on a deep level.

Do you offer job search coaching, CV writing, LinkedIn coaching, interview coaching and personal branding coaching?

Once you have gained more clarity around a career or study choice, we can explore what your further needs might be.

I provide resources and follow up coaching in interview skills, CV/LinkedIn writing and job searching. However, I am also happy to refer you to someone else if you need more in-depth training and support in these areas.

Do you offer online Career Coaching Sessions?

Yes. At the moment I am offering career coaching sessions via Zoom/phone only.

How much does it cost for a Career Coach?

Career coaching Melbourne sessions run for 60 to 90 mins at $250 (psychometric assessment fees extra). These are tax deductible.
